Emily Nolan has been addicted to her body image for over two decades. After modeling at sixteen different sizes, undergoing plastic surgery and liposuction, living with eating disorders and body dysmorphia, she realized that she'd never be happy with herself--and her Earth Suit--unless she chose to be happy from a place of divine love and radical self-acceptance.
After her last dangerous surgery, a full-body liposuction at 27, Emily decided that she'd had enough. Something had to change or else she'd spend the rest of her life in fear of never being good enough for anyone else, especially herself. Nolan started seeking her worthiness from within and started to believe and teach that we're all miracles, just the way we are.
Had she not made this brave decision to love herself just the way she is, her old story would have swallowed her aliveness; an aliveness that is evident and integral to the success of Pretty Brave Adventures and her Be Pretty Brave message. With Emily's #beprettybrave movement, she is redefining what it means to be pretty in our western culture, which is, to be brave enough to believe that we are perfect, just the way we are.
Emily has been awarded Top 100 Women to Watch in Wellness, Top 12 Rockstar Yogis Leading the Body-Positive Movement, Top 100 World's Most Influential Thought Leaders in Wellness.
