Jan 31-Feb 6, 2016 | Twilight Yoga Advanced Meditation Retreat with Sri Kapilnath & Dr. Robert Svoboda

Jan 31-Feb 6, 2016 | A Twilight Yoga Advanced Meditation & Tantra Retreat with Sri Kapilnath & Dr. Robert Svoboda

The Sanctuary at Two Rivers is offering a rare opportunity to sit, meditate and learn with two living master yogis, Sri Kapilnath of the International Nath Order and Dr. Robert Svoboda, international lecturer on the classical Indian sciences. This will be an assisted introduction to Twilight Yoga. It is concentration yoga and should be considered intensive and advanced yoga.

Sri Kapilnath was born in January of 1958 as John Pilskog. Kapilnath is a disciple of Shri Gurudev Mahendranath from whom he received the Nath initiation name of Kapilnath. This Sanskrit name translates as skull lord or lord of skulls in English. In 1989 he was given the title of Imperator Magus Mundi to lead Shri Gurudev Mahendranath's Nath order, the International Nath Order. The International Nath Order is an international initiatory sampradaya of the ancient Nath tradition.

While an associate professor at the University of Washington in the field of music, Kapilnath was able to use the full academic resources of Suzallo Library to conduct further research into Tantra and related wisdom traditions. That year of study clearly revealed that he required a living Guru of both the Natha and Kaula sampradayas. In 1984 Kapilnath came in contact with these traditions through Shri Gurudev Mahendranath and was accepted as his disciple. What followed was seven years of mentorship until the passing of Gurudev in 1991. Kapil is a classicaly trained western musician who was initiated and became Sri Kapilnath, Nath Tantrika of the International Nath Order. www.nathorder.org He currently lives in Costa Rica with his wife on a scenic property in the mountains near the city of Santiago de Puriscal.

Dr. Robert Svoboda is the first Westerner ever to graduate from a college of Ayurveda and be licensed to practice Ayurveda in India. During and after his formal Ayurvedic training he was tutored in Ayurveda, Yoga, Jyotish, Tantra and other forms of classical Indian lore by his mentor, the Aghori Vimalananda. The author of more than a dozen books, he lived in India for more than a decade, after which he has continued to spend much of each year there and in other lands. You can read more about his work at www.drsvoboda.com and follow him on Facebook.
