SUP Costa Rica

Catherine Mcmahon:
Country girl, surfer girl and yogini unite. It’s all about balance and play for Catherine. Forever inspired and challenged by the idea of living her yoga off the mat and around the world, Catherine's teaching embodies a philosophy that celebrates the beauty of life, the human body and nature. She believes that the path to contentment in body and mind lies strongly in the power of connecting to the energies, cycles and rhythms of nature. With movement, breath work and meditation in her teaching and her own practice she hopes to help guide others in this direction towards reconnection and awareness. A graduate of The Asheville Yoga Center’s teacher certification, Opal Yoga teacher and founder of Mango Yoga Adventures SUP. Catherine has travelled annually to the Nicoya Peninsula of Costa Rica for the last nine years and looks forward to sharing in it's splendor with you.

Karen Thomas:
As a teenager in coastal Rhode Island I was enamored with all things bohemian, imagining myself a free-spirit and seeker,I began to practice yoga.
I have steadily maintained an independent practice for 20 years, gone legit with several teacher trainings under my belt and I regularly feed my insatiable appetite for all things yogic in infinite ways.
I founded Opal Yoga in 2013; it’s a joy to share the power of yoga with the community; I’m grateful, honored and completely stoked!
