About Richard and Elijah Guy

The Sanctuary at Two Rivers is pleased to introduce your talented and fun surf instructors, Richard Guy and his son Elijah Guy. Richard has been living in Costa Rica for 20 years and has over 15 years experience as a surf instructor. Prior to that, growing up in Canada, he was an all-around athlete, accelerating as a competitive swimmer, becoming a lifeguard trained in CPR as well as open water rescue.

As a young adult, Richard traveled the world as a professional model. It was in 1990 on a short vacation between his work travels in Europe, Asia, and the US that he discovered the Jungle and the waves of Costa Rica and has been blessed to live and raise a family here on the Nicoya Peninsula ever since. Richard and his son Elijah take to the waves and surf together as their daily ritual.

Elijah has been surfing since he was 3 years old, now at 17 and 6'4", he was recently selected to represent Costa Rica at the 2012 DaKine ISA World Junior Games held in Panama and helped Costa Rica place 11th overall while individually placing 31st in the world for the under 18 competition.

Please allow a day or so for me to respond to your questions.

Time to Travel

  • Fly to San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO).  For those in the NYC area, United Airlines has flights from Newark (EWR) and American and Jetblue have options through JFK.
  • Then take a connecting flight to Tambor. Please check out www.flysansa.com to book your flights on-line.  From USA you can easily call SANSA for reservations: 1-877-767-2672. Please note that calling may be easier as sometimes their website has a challenge loading. The customer service is very helpful when calling to make a reservation. The other option would be to take Nature Air www.natureair.com at another airport, Pavas, which is 30 minutes from SJO.
  • You must leave 2 hours to make the flight change in both directions for customs.
  • Please make sure to book your flights as soon as possible as availability and airfares are very good right now.  It will be more challenging to book as we get closer to the travel date.
  • If for some reason you would like to spend the night in San Jose prior to traveling to Tambor that is also an option. Please ask for hotel recommendations.
  • Please arrive at SATR by 4:00 PM on April 13.
  • Ground transportation from Tambor to the retreat center will be shared amongst those arriving together.  The rate for up to 4 people is $50. If more than 5 people arriving at the same time, it is $10 per person in a mini van.
  • Once we have your flight information we can arrange for the ground transportation in Tambor.
  • Note: There is a $28 airport tax when you leave the country, paid by cash or credit card.
  • *ATMs are not reliable, please bring cash or traveler’s checks.

Sthira & Sukha: Strength and Softness through Vinyasa

with Becky Jenkins, RYT 200 and Michelle Plante, RYT 200

23 March, 2013 - 29 March, 2013

Overview

As we strive to find balance in our lives and in our yoga practice, we must first recognize the yin and yang, or the sthira and sukha, and what role these contrasts play in our lives.  As is written in Patanjali's Yoga Sutras, "sthira-sukham-āsanam," or "Practicing yoga with strength and in a relaxed manner gives rise to harmony with the physical body." It is only when we find the balance between strength and softness that we can reach satva, or the equilibrium, and find both inner and outer calmness. Join Becky Jenkins RYT200 and Michelle Plante RYT200 for a weeklong exploration into the deeper levels of vinyasa. We'll delve deep into powerful Ashtanga-based asana practices but also explore the deeper, quieter layers of the body through restorative and yin.

Becky Jenkins, RYT 200 and Michelle Plante, RYT 200 are both instructors at Prasada Yoga Center in North Hampton, NH, a vinyasa studio drawing from the teachings of Krishnamachari’s Ashtanga yoga. Both Becky and Michelle believe strongly in the power of movement and breath to heal and nourish the body, mind and soul, and feel that yoga is the ultimate way to integrate all three. Becky is known for teaching strong, creative sequences with focus on the core body and deep release of holdings in the body. Costa Rica February 2013 Enchanted Jungle Retreat

with Elizabeth Rossa and Special Guests

2 February, 2013 - 8 February, 2013

Overview

A Yoga, Meditation + Self-Inquiry Retreat

The Sanctuary at Two Rivers is a mystical, other-worldly place to sincerely merge with All That Is!  A retreat center like no other.  Expect your mind to open to long forgotten possibilities in a place specifically cultivated to hold space for spiritual and creative practices.  Experience this incredible property which boasts mid-century modern tree house, jungle-luxury accommodations, a yoga deck designed after a traditional Japanese Pagoda with a tropical modern twist, and waterfalls which will blow your mind.

Daily Schedule

Our retreat will begin on Saturday, February 2nd with a yoga class followed by a welcome dinner.  The next five days will include sunrise meditation and a comprehensive 2-hour yoga class followed by some of the most delicious and healthy breakfasts you have ever tasted.  From approximately 10am-2pm each day, there will be a variety of river hikes to stunning waterfalls, the spectacular beach and ocean, optional surfing, zip-line, and trips to the charming, bohemian town of Montezuma.

Lunch will be served promptly at 2pm (except for those off premises on an extensive surf excursion, or choosing to remain at the beach all day).  The lunch on this retreat will be the "main meal" of the day.  These meals will be healthy and gratifying in every sense of the word.

From approximately 3-5pm there is time for reading, relaxing at the pool, receiving a massage or other bodywork.  The Sanctuary boasts an incredible lap pool and healing center to revive oneself after a very active day.

5:00pm-6:15pm  Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation

7:00pm  Light Supper and Conversation

9:00pm OM Out (or slip back down to the pool with friends for a moonlit dip)

Reiki I Offering

Elizabeth who is now a Reiki Master, is willing to offer a Reiki I training and initiation for those interested. This offering is optional. The sessions for this special healing time together will be generally scheduled during the late afternoon hours and according to what is best for the individuals participating as to not conflict with other retreat activities.  The energy of The Sanctuary is absolutely conducive to a powerful and transformative Reiki experience.  Please email Elizabeth at shriyoga@shriyoganyc.com if interested.

Your Guide

Elizabeth Rossa is the founder/director of SHRIYOGA, which was voted “Best Next Generation of Yoga” by New York Magazine in 2005, and since, featured in various publications including Gotham, Time Out and Real Simple. Originally certified to teach hatha yoga over 11 years ago by notable master teachers, Erich Schiffman and Max Strom,  Elizabeth is as committed to teaching as she is to her on-going studentship.  Her primary influence since 2005 has been the teachings and guidance of her mentor, the incomparable meditation and tantric philosophy master, Sally Kempton.

Now, Elizabeth continues to integrate new knowledge gleaned from the mastery of Richard Freeman, after completing his and Mary Taylor’s much celebrated 200 hour month-long Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga teacher intensive at their Yoga Workshop in 2011. And, this year of 2012, Elizabeth has continued her on-going education with Richard, Mary and Sally while teaching full time in NYC and abroad.  These three teachers are amongst the most genuine teachers of the modern spiritual world, and  Elizabeth respectfully acknowledges each of them for giving her the model of what it means to teach with the highest of integrity.

Elizabeth’s credentials also include certifications in Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan and Reiki Mastership through Wendy Miner of Memorial Sloane-Kettering’s Integrative Medicine Center.  In addition, her extensive experience in silent retreat and Self-inquiry practice with Adyashanti has also influenced her outreach.

As a teacher of yoga, meditation and Self-inquiry practices, Elizabeth holds space for clarity and freedom. She offers a fresh perspective which allows the ancient and esoteric to become modern and real.  Students are encouraged to cultivate curiosity as they pause and breathe, deeply listening for the internal cues of Life, right here, right now. Primarily committed to Shriyoga’s NYC grassroots community classes, Elizabeth also teaches retreats worldwide, is on faculty of the Open Center and is a guest presenter at Kripalu.

Philanthropically, she helped to spearhead a successful Give Your Yoga benefit for Women For Women International at Urban Zen in 2010, with discussions underway for another in 2013. Personally inspired by WFW founder, Zainab Salbi’s mission, Elizabeth has also sponsored two “sisters” in Rwanda, a third in Nigeria, and hopes to bring more awareness to this powerful organization which recognizes an inherent unity amongst us all.

Travel Information

  • Fly to San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO).  For those in the NYC area, United Airlines has flights from Newark (EWR) and American and Jetblue have options through JFK.

Elizabeth will be flying out of Newark International Airport on United Airlines (UA1080), Saturday, February 2nd at 7:24am, arriving in San Jose, Costa Rica at 11:50am.

She will return to NYC on United Airlines (UA1560) on Friday, February 8th at 2:21pm from San Jose, Costa Rica, arriving at Newark International Airport at 8:38pm.

  • Then take a connecting flight to Puerto Jimenez. Opt for Sansa, although Elizabeth has flown Nature Air and the commute is quite easy.

Elizabeth's Costa Rica domestic flights are the following:
SANSA Airlines Flight  1086  from SAN JOSE (J.SANTAMARIA) at 1:55pm  arriving in TAMBOR at 2:30pm
SANSA Airlines Flight  1083  from TAMBOR at 11:05am  arriving in SAN JOSE (J.SANTAMARIA) at 11:40am

  • You must leave 2 hours to make the flight change in both directions for customs.
  • Please make sure to book your flights as soon as possible as availability and airfares are very good right now.  It will be more challenging to book as we get closer to the end of the year.
  • If for some reason you would like to spend the night in San Jose prior to traveling to Tambor that is also an option.  Elizabeth did this on her last retreat and found it to be a relaxing travel alternative especially if you prefer to fly to Costa Rica at night.  Another option is to travel to Tambor and spend the night before in the charming town of Montezuma, and then move onto the retreat center with Elizabeth when she arrives on February 2nd.

Travel Information

  • Fly to San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO).  There are affordable flights from Bradley, CT and also LGA in NYC. We must arrive in Tambor by 4pm the day the retreat begins so we recommend taking the 6 am flight from Bradley to arrive in San Jose at 1235pm.
  • From Tambor the options are either to take a short scenic flight or arrange a shuttle and ferry ride.  To fly you would then take a connecting flight to Puerto Jimenez. Opt for Sansa if possible, The terminal is a 5 minute walk from the San Jose airport. If you fly NatureAir, a shuttle can be taken which is about 20 minutes from San Jose airport.
  • Please allow at least 2 hours to make the flight change in both directions for customs.
  • Please make sure to book your flights as soon as possible as availability and airfares are very good right now.  It will be more challenging to book as we get closer to the end of the year.
  • THIS TRIP could be the TRIP OF YOUR LIFETIME!  Well worth the travel to get there!  We promise.

About Our Theme

Throughout this week, we will embark on a transformative process of mind-body purification using a combination of dynamic asana, meditation, writing and community for an experience of deep connection and awakening.

Time on the mat gives us some space to figure out where we’re going in life. This will give us the clarity to KNOW where you want to go. This concept of an internal GPS is essential to yoga. It means the spiritual evolving in the direction of your most inspired life. The opportunity to achieve this is remarkable.

Why? Because something happens while on a yoga retreat that breaks the bonds of ordinary awareness and expands the consciousness of each individual to a level that would otherwise would have taken months or years of ordinary living to attain. This acceleration of evolution is mystical, meaning that the explanation of the change is beyond logic and reason. The term from quantum physics, “quantum leap”, comes to mind. A quantum leap means "a phenomena where an electron orbiting the nucleus of an atom changes its position without having traversed the space between its old and new orbit and without taking any time to do so. As scientifically verifiable as this phenomena is, it is also on the order of a miracle, for science has no explanation how this effect happens." Join us for the magic, miracle and power of transformation!

Take to heart the words of Danna Faulds. She writes,
“Let go of the ways you though life would unfold; the holding of plans or dreams or expectations — Let it go.

Save your strength to swim with the tide. The choice to fight what is here before you now will only result in struggle, fear, and desperate attempts to flee from the very energy you long for.

Let it all go and flow with the grace that washes through your days whether you receive it gently or with all your quills raised to defend against invaders.

Take this on faith: the mind may never find the explanations that it seeks, but you will move forward nonetheless.

Let it all go and find the place of rest and peace, and certain transformation."

Richard and Elijah Guy - Surf and Yoga Retreats, Costa Rica

We are very excited and fortunate to have two surfers of this high caliber sharing their gifts.

The Sanctuary EcoQuest New Moon Yoga Retreat: The Art and Science of Ritual

with Naganath

8 December, 2012 - 14 December, 2012

Overview

The Sanctuary EcoQuest New Moon Yoga Retreat: The Art and Science of Ritual uses the assistance of New Moon energy for an immersion into the esoteric side of yoga. This retreat is accessible to all levels of experience.

The ancient sages and seers engaged, explored, and experimented in a secluded natural environment with nothing other than the basic essentials in their “eco-lab”, their human body and mind. Through engaging in the same processes of our spiritual ancestors, the week flows in alignment with the Tantric Sciences of Hatha Yoga, Ayurveda, and Jyotish (Vedic Astrology). These Living Wisdoms help us connect to our integral relationship within the microcosm-macrocosm paradigm and were all used to aide and assist the process of ritual.

In the ritual’s depth one will find its simplicity, and through its simplicity further depths will be experienced. The subjective objective being to sharpen one’s insight, deepen one’s intuition, and expand one’s imagination. The proper development and refinement of these three supra-faculties is essential for the unfoldment called Awakening. On this retreat participants will explore various ways of accomplishing this, one unique way being through the Dhuni Ritual.

Dr. Robert Svoboda provided us this quote on the importance of ritual in one's sadhana or life: Any ritual provides us with a sense of security and stability in life, and worship rituals assist us to connect with the foundations of life itself. Ritual facilitates our connection to the infinite by projecting meaning onto an existence that can sometimes seem random, chaotic or insignificant. Properly employed, ritual can provide a structure and a discipline that can optimize and accelerate our sadhana.

About Nagaloka Dhuni and The Chakra Raja: Naganath (Jeff Gossett)

The Sanctuary at Two Rivers is the host of Nagaloka Dhuni. It is a sacred space which serves a specific purpose within the context of a specific intention and procedure. *The Dhuni is not a simple campfire. It is viewed by the Nath as a living deity. It is emblematic as the womb of the Earth Goddess from which all manifestation was generated, sustained, and destroyed. The history of the Nath Dhuni can be traced  back into antiquity but the process lives on here in the jungle. One need not be an initiated Nath to enjoy and benefit from the ritual. Although each individual who enters the dhuni is working with their own shakti within their own bodily instrument, the collective whole needs to be on a similar playing field with a certain intention in order for the group process to be effective and successful. It is the Chakra Raja, or Circle Leader, whose focus (in part) is to make sure this is the case. *Naths are aware that it is the intention and attitude of the individual which is an all important element in the transformation of their personal perceptions. With this awareness, it is the intention, attitude, and will of the Natha which transforms a pit in the ground into a living embodiment of the Earth Goddess or Dhuni Divine. This sacred site then becomes the focal point for individual and group transformations of Awakening and Worship. So all this being said, the Chakra Raja is one who not only has been initiated into the dhuni rite in an unbroken lineage, but also is the one to activate the potential of the portal and lead the journey with mantra being the fuel. He initiates the start and end times, selects the mantras, sets the pronunciation, the sequencing, the tonality, and the rhythm. These mantras have been tried, tested, and activated for many centuries - an important factor that often gets overlooked.

About Naganath

Chakra Raja Naganath’s devotion and earnestness over the past 20 years has allowed him to experience the fruits of the Tao, Zen, various Buddhist sects, Dzogchen, Hinduism, and eventually finding a strong karmic resonance in Ancient Tantra, being initiated by Shri Kapilnath into the International Nath Order, a modern Nath sect established by Shri Gurudev Mahendranath with its roots in the Adi-Nath Sampradaya and Uttara Kaula Sampradayas of which Shri Mahendranath was holder of parampara and Guru. The Guru tradition and initiation of the International Nath Order   (www.nathorder.org/wiki/International_Nath_Order) includes wisdom teachings from Hindu, Soto Zen and Taoist sources plus practices rediscovered by the science and yoga of meditation and contemplation. One special feature of the Nath pattern is that of the Dhuni Ritual. *Although many cultures have sustained a tradition of fire worship, it remains a unique feature of the Naths that it was the site or dwelling place (dhuni) of the Holy Fire which was considered sacred. The ancient but graphic iconography of such a scene is simple. The cleft in the earth (dhuni) represents the womb of the Mother Goddess. This was the Holy Ground upon which the Nath way of life was brought into being, transformed, and regenerated.

Prior to venturing into the jungle to begin a seven year journey co-creating The Sanctuary at Two Rivers and expanding on his sadhana, Naga (Jeff) was a manager at Sacred Movement Center for Yoga and Healing (now Exhale) in Venice, California which, at that time, housed Master Teachers: Shiva Rea, Erich Schiffmann, Rod Stryker, Saul David Raye, Mark Whitwell, and Max Strom. During this time he completed over 700 hours of yoga teacher training with teachers such as Shiva Rea (her Advanced Teacher Training Program), Rod Stryker, and teachers from The Bihar School of Yoga. Naga also studied Ayurveda at The Ayurvedic Academy held at Bastyr University in Washington and has extensive studies in Jyotish (Vedic Astrology) with the aid of his close friend and mentor in various occult sciences, Dr. Robert Svoboda.

See what Master Teachers Shiva Rea and Erich Schiffmann have to say about Naganath (Jeff Gossett)

The following testimonials are from two yogis who experienced a Dhuni Ritual:

“...The time I spent in the dhuni of chakra raja Naganath, at The Sanctuary at Two Rivers in Costa Rica, was as sacred and connected to spirit as anything I've ever experienced.  The depth of lineage connection, the breadth of ancient wisdom and the powerful transmission conferred in his ceremonies remains with me to this day. Naganath's work is both a gift and a blessing for all blessed to be in his presence."
~ Ryan Seaman, Venice CA

“Being at The Sanctuary at Two Rivers and sharing several dhuni empowerments with Naganath was incredibly potent, inspired a deeper attunement to the healing energies of the jungle lands surrounding us and invoked a profound resonance to the universal elemental energies in a way that still lives through me. It was a rite of passage for which I continue to be grateful for.”

Schedule for New Moon Yoga Retreat

This retreat week is appropriate for all levels of experience from beginner through advanced. Our schedule is subject to change in harmony with Mother Nature and The Celestials.

Plunging under the wave of the New Moon's energy for deeper exploration, along with the support from your retreat intention, participants will engage into ancient transformational processes and practices (rituals) throughout the week in order to Dive into, Discern, and Develop one’s higher consciousness. After the week’s end the earnest student will be able to work extensively with the mantras in one’s own ritualistic format and extend ritual into every corner of her/his round universe.

This retreat being an EcoQuest; participants, whom we affectionately call EcoQuesters, will experience an inward and outward journey infused by Mother Nature at her most sublime and versatile.

Each day EcoQuesters will join The Director of The Sanctuary at 7:00 am in the expansive and open Yoga Pagoda where she will guide you through specific Yogic Practices to activate and circulate prana through the use of asanas and pranayama. This is part of, and essential preparation for, ritual work and is open to all levels of experience.

Between the nutritious Morning Meal at 9:00 am and the largest meal of the day at 2:00 pm, there is ample time to deepen a relationship with the full tapestry of sights, sounds, tastes, smells, and touches that Mama Gaia provides through her waterfalls and rivers, jungle, gardens, orchards, and the creatures that thrive on and around The Sanctuary’s wildlife preserve.

While it is recommended that EcoQuesters relax and restore in a canopied lounge bed at The Pool & Spa, sketching or journaling while awaiting a therapeutic massage, the option exists, weather permitting, for local area excursions. Enjoy hiking though Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve; surfing, snorkeling, or beach-combing; flying through the forest canopy on zip lines; horseback riding on the beach to secluded waterfalls; or shopping in a picturesque Costa Rican beach town where artisans line the streets.

Each night begins around 6:00 pm twilight when we will start our ancient rituals or meditation practices and where we will work toward the infinite refinement of consciousness.

After the ceremony we will convene at the dining table to enjoy prasad and a light supper.

Let Go Into The Flow ~~ An Immersion into Nature with Vinyasa Flow Yoga & Live Music from The Hang

Guided by Dagmar Spremberg and Gaudan

10 November, 2012 - 16 November, 2012

Overview

Please come join us for a magical experience in nature. "Let Go Into The Flow," is an immersion into Nature with Vinyasa Flow Yoga & Live Music from The Hang Drum guided by Dagmar Spremberg and Gaudan.

For those of you who have an interest in both deepening your yoga practice and re-calibrating your inner flow through the inherent realignment powers of Mother Nature, this retreat is designed to be shared around an intimate setting with like-minded people while internationally recognized yoga instructors and musicians guide you both on and off the mat in the jungle of Costa Rica. Treat yourself to a week at The Sanctuary at Two Rivers, Costa Rica, one of the world’s most beautiful places where you will find inspiration, become recharged, and feel rejuvenated. Flow is much easier to tap into when you have a combination of Nature, Yoga, and Music.

Got music? Music moves us. The powerful effects go far beyond the sensuously tactile experiences found through sound and rhythm. It is discovering this deeper sense of harmony in the body that helps us to embrace and dance with the rhythmic flow of life. When we are with our lover our heartbeats sync. When tuning an instrument the other chords will resonate at the same octave as the one plucked. When we explore asanas, regulate our breath, and move to a rhythmic beat we sync together as one, creating a harmony as a whole. Practicing together with rhythm and sound assists us into a deeper experience of yoga, both within and without our selves. The ultimate goal of yoga, Enlightenment or Freedom, is for our self to be in sync with The Self of All that Is. Come to the jungle to lose yourself in order to find your self in Her Rhythm. It is through the dissolution of resistance where we will discover ourselves dancing in the moonlight of the moment and missing absolutely nothing.

Our intention is to create a space where you feel relaxed to surrender to your own inner beat and dance with the wildlife and pristine nature surrounding you. Morning flow is a dynamic Vinyasa practice with Dagmar. Evening flow is led by Dagmar while being accompanied by global artist Gaudan (The Gaudan Project) who will be playing the Hang, a unique instrument with an ancient sound and mystical feel. The phenomenon of overtones combined with opening yoga asanas assists to harmonize our individual frequencies with the Universal vibration of the macrocosm. You will leave this week feeling inspired, re-aligned, and renewed.

Dagmar's insightful instruction, graceful flow and beautiful energy were inspiring. And the addition of Daniel's hang music during our sunset sessions was pure magic. It was a truly memorable week and made a great impact on my practice. -Mitch K.

Richard and Elijah Guy - Surf and Yoga Retreats, Costa Rica

We are very excited and fortunate to have two surfers of this high caliber sharing their gifts.

About Our Theme:

As scientifically verifiable as this phenomena is, it is also on the order of a miracle, for science has no explanation how this effect happens." Join us August 11-18, 2012 for the magic, miracle and power of transformation!

Take to heart the words of Danna Faulds. She writes, “Let go of the ways you though life would unfold; the holding of plans or dreams or expectations — Let it go.

Let it all go and find the place of rest and peace, and certain transformation.

Testimonial
"Julie Carmen turned me on to yoga. She made it make sense to me...I responded with anticipation and enthusiasm. In my years with Julie, my body has changed. The fat that once was impossible to get rid of has melted away and it seemed effortless. She never pushes, instead forces me to understand that this is not a competition, but a slow dance one learns with oneself. I love yoga because of Julie and I know it is something I will still be doing when I am 90 years young..."        Suzanne Somers

The Sanctuary EcoQuest New Moon Retreat: The Art and Science of Ritual

with Naganath and Lynda Carré

16 June, 2012 - 23 June, 2012
Sorry, Retreat is FULL

Our latest addition to The Sanctuary EcoQuest Portfolio, The Sanctuary EcoQuest New Moon 7-Night Retreat: The Art and Science of Ritual. Using the assistance of New Moon energy, this week is an immersion into the esoteric side of yoga yet accessible to all levels of experience.

What’s Included

  • One Daily Yoga/Pranayama/Meditation Session
  • One Nightly Ancient Ritual Practice (Dhuni, Puja or Passive Meditation)
  • Three Delicious Gourmet Vegetarian Meals Daily
  • Excursions to Waterfalls or Pacific Ocean Beaches
  • Time for Exploration/Relaxation/Reflection/Creativity
  • Costa Rica Taxes 13%

This Retreat, What to Bring, Your Guides

*All italics are from the Awakening the Dhuni article by Shri Kapilnath

~Terra Gold, D.O.M. (FL), L.Ac., CYT, E-RYT, Santa Monica, CA
Acupuncturist, Clinical Nutritionist and Yoga Therapist, Co-Director, Loyola Marymount University's "Yoga and The Healing Sciences" Teacher Training Program

Schedule for New Moon Week Retreat

Each day EcoQuesters will join The Director of The Sanctuary, Lynda Carré, at 7:00 am in the expansive and open Yoga Pagoda where she will guide you through specific Yogic Practices to activate and circulate prana through the use of asanas and pranayama.

Each night begins around 6:00 pm twilight when we will start our ancient rituals link to http://www.facebook.com/NagalokaDhuni or meditation practices and where we will work toward the infinite refinement of consciousness.

After the ceremony we will convene at the dining table to enjoy prasad and a light supper.

Richard and Elijah Guy - Surf and Yoga Retreats, Costa Rica

About Richard and Elijah Guy

The Sanctuary at Two Rivers is pleased to introduce your talented and fun surf instructors for the week, Richard Guy and his son Elijah Guy.

We are very excited and fortunate to have two surfers of this high caliber sharing their gifts.

Let Go Into The Flow ~~
Guided by Dagmar Spremberg and Gaudan

"Let Go Into The Flow," is a 7-Day immersion into Nature with Vinyasa Flow Yoga & Live Music from The Hang Drum guided by Dagmar Spremberg and Gaudan.

Register for Let Go Into The Flow ~~ with Dagmar Spremberg and Gaudan
Price: $1,675 per person (see below for what's included)

I had the great pleasure of attending a 7-day yoga retreat with Dagmar and Daniel in Tulum. What an amazing experience! Dagmar's insightful instruction, graceful flow and beautiful energy were inspiring. And the addition of Daniel's hang music during our sunset sessions was pure magic. It was a truly memorable week and made a great impact on my practice. -Mitch K.

Experiencing yoga with Dagmar and Daniel is a magical experience that will relax your sprit, open your heart, and stay in your memories. Dagmar shares her heart and as a student you will have the opportunity to not only connect to your practice but also your travel experience. The Hang floats your body and mind into a state of bliss. Don't miss the chance to experience these two together -simply magical! - Julie D.

Please come join us for a magical week in nature. Our intention is to create a space where you feel relaxed to surrender to your own inner beat and dance with the wildlife and pristine nature surrounding you. Morning flow is either a dynamic Vinyasa practice with Dagmar or a Morning Deep Flow, Pranayama, and Meditation practice with Lynda Carré.

The Sanctuary EcoQuest Full Moon Retreat Week

with Lynda Carré

31 March, 2012 - 6 April, 2012
Sorry, Retreat is FULL

Full Moon Retreat (SOLD OUT)
with Lynda Carré

This Sanctuary Retreat is truly an EcoQuest; an inward and outward journey infused by Mother Nature at her most sublime and versatile. A week at The Sanctuary is suitable for those who are physically active, have a sense of adventure, and a joy of discovery. Personalized guidance is customized to benefit all levels of experience. While The Sanctuary is very easy to get to you will feel both far away and at home here.

Each day can begin at dawn with optional Sunrise Tea & Toast and Morning Meditation. All of us will gather at 7:00am for Morning Yoga Practice in the expansive and open Yoga Pagoda where we will awaken our awareness to the body/mind’s subtle energies.

Between the nutritious Morning meal at 9:00am and the largest meal of the day at 2:00pm, there is ample time to deepen a relationship with the full tapestry of sights, sounds, tastes, smells, and touches that Mama Gaia provides through her waterfalls and rivers, jungle, gardens, orchards, and the creatures that thrive on and around The Sanctuary’s wildlife preserve.

While it is recommend that EcoQuesters relax and restore in a canopied lounge bed at The Pool & Spa, sketching or journaling while awaiting a therapeutic massage, the option exists, weather permitting, for local area excursions. Enjoy hiking though Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve; surfing, snorkeling, or beachcombing; flying through the forest canopy on zip lines; horseback riding on the beach to secluded waterfalls; or shopping in a picturesque Costa Rican beach town where artisans line the streets.

Each night begins at twilight dusk where we convene for restorative yoga, various meditation practices, or ancient rituals to induce a state of expanded consciousness.
