Meet Dr. Allison Snowden, DACM LAc RYT CMT:
International Retreat leader, Doctor of Chinese medicine, Functional medicine practitioner; Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist; Registered Yoga Teacher; Reiki Master and Teacher; Certified massage therapist
Dr. Allison Snowden is a visionary, educator, author and healer. She was born empathic, intuitive and deeply attuned to environments, animals and to people’s vibrations. Allison had a deep connection to spirituality. When she was 7 years old, her sister was diagnosed with cancer and later diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder. Allison witnessed her sister’s pain and suffering and the suffering and death of several children and teenagers. At age 14, Allison experienced an existential crisis, she deeply feared the process of physical death and wanted to understand why there is so much suffering to children. She prayed for answers because no words could soothe her soul’s cry for understanding. In 1999, at 15 years old Allison was hit by a motorcycle while crossing the street in Mexico. She physically died, experienced her true identity as LOVE, and chose to come back to heal her traumatized body and life. It took two years of painful surgeries for all of her bones to heal. Her medical doctors proclaimed her a “living miracle” for surviving such a trauma. Although her fractured bones had healed, Allison was plagued by chronic physical pain, nightmares and emotional turmoil. Her medical doctors told her that she would be in chronic pain for the rest of her life. That was the start of her relentless personal and academic exploration of healing to find solutions to heal and UNITE her mind, body and soul. Allison transformed her trauma through energy healing, daily yoga, meditation, acupuncture, massage, diet and dedication to her spirituality and personal growth.
Allison is a acupuncture physician, herbalist, functional medicine practitioner, Reiki master and yoga teacher. She has studied with exceptional healers within the United States and internationally. It is her understanding and knowing through her personal healing journey and though witnessing her patients healing unfold that the human spirit and body has a tremendous potential and capacity to heal through disease and trauma. Her area of interest lies in how physiology, psychology, and spirituality interact to affect our personal experience and ability to facilitate healing. She holds a Master's and Doctorate degree in Oriental & Chinese Medicine from the prestigious Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego. She has completed additional training on acupuncture, herbal medicine, consciousness, yoga, and remote viewing through the Omega Institute, the Monroe Institute and the International Acupuncture Center in Beijing, China.
It is Allison’s mission to spread the vibration of unconditional LOVE that she experienced in her near-death experience. To share that every life MATTERS, LOVE is the only power, to give hope and inspiration that healing is our natural state and our birthright. Allison feel honored to be a part of your healing process and transformational journey. She is delighted to teach, coach, and lead others on their unique and powerful healing journey through holistic health, yoga, energy healing and transformational experiences.
